Brazilian Latin Jazz Music
Aquarela prides itself in being "authentic" when it comes to samba and bossa nova music. The band’s original members included Roberto Buena, George Almaden,Teddy Tipon and Dix Lucero. Filipino musicians have joined the band over time, including Michael Alba on drums and Colby de la Calzada on bass. Latest edition of the band is Boy Lumacad on keyboard. Miguel composes and arranges songs for the band, while Evelyn acts as band manager and record producer, as she is also a frontliner.

We first saw Aquarela at the now defunct Monk's Dream in Rockwell Powerplant Mall when I treated my wife for her birthday. We've been fans ever since. (Me especially since my preference for Latin music was influenced by Djavan, Joao Bosco, Lee Ritenour in his 'Rio' album, etc) My family and I were simply overjoyed when Aquarela finally came out with their much awaited, and long overdue album. We went to the store and got a copy right away. We thoroughly enjoy your album and its a source of relaxation and enjoyment for my family. Thank you and more power to Aquarela!
